West Hennepin Employment Outreach Project
JVS is pleased to be working with Hennepin County, studying the vocational and self-sufficiency needs of people living in 24 munincipalities in the far western suburbs spanning from Rogers to Maple Plain and from Mound to Deephaven. Click here to view a map of this area.

During this two-year project, JVS will meet with civic leaders, community officials, residents and businesses in these areas. Then JVS will prepare an in-depth report detailing current vocational needs and recommendations to meet those needs.

As part of this project, JVS is:

• Establishing continuing outreach programs to draw citizen response
• Partnering with local service providers
• Offering a regular presence at community collaborative events
• Assessing and determining continuing unmet needs
• Suggesting new services and delivery methods to meet these needs
• Recommending a formal plan for providing services for western Hennepin County
