Moving From Welfare to Work

JVS provides intensive one-on-one employment assistance and training for participants in Minnesota's Family Investment Program (MFIP). Each compassionate, experienced job counselor provides in-depth career skills and job readiness assessments. A personalized career plan is developed to meet each person's individual needs.

Trainers teach program participants job-finding skills, computer skills, on-line job-hunting, and fundamental computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
