Community Employment for Adults 55 and older

A little payback for all you do for your community.

If you need some help at your non-profit organization, now you can benefit from the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) that matches adults, 55 and older, with a community service job.

Each participant's salary is paid through a grant from the Department of Labor. You simply provide the trainee with a position that will teach them valuable employment skills. For the two to three months that your trainee is with you, they will also be learning about your organization. Once the training period is completed, you may choose to hire this person.

If your organization would like to serve as a host agency for a person 55 or older, please contact Ardis Wexler, JVS program coordinator, at 952-417-2117 or email awexler@jvsmn.org.
