[ MEET THE JVS DIVISION DIRECTOR ]  

Welcome to JVS. We hope that you will use our site to learn about JVS, our programs, and the people and businesses we serve.

This year JVS assisted 2,344 individuals of diverse backgrounds, helping them to overcome severe barriers to employment.   Approximately $25 million in annual entry wages have been earned by the many refugees, individuals moving from welfare to work, people with disabilities, dislocated workers, and others served who benefited from JVS' employment and training and career development services.  Last year alone, through the efforts of JVS 1,034 jobs were created.

I believe that JVS' success is in large part due to our focus on creating positive outcomes and our commitment to:

  • our customers - the individuals we serve, the employers we assist, and the funders whose confidence we have earned;
  • our dedicated and experienced staff team; and
  • our focus on community and our desire to contribute to creating a stronger society by helping individuals become self-sufficient.

In the future we look forward to implementing JVS' strategic plan, which focuses on:

  • marketing JVS' core values and competencies;
  • developing new training opportunities for program participants;
  • offering job skills training to our employer partners; and
  • implementing JVS' communications plan.
